What we collect

When you sign in with Google, we store: your email address, display name, and (if available) your profile photo URL. We use these for authentication and to address you in emails.

When you complete intake, we store the answers you provide — startup type, stage, goals, constraints, accountability partner, and any optional context you share. This data is used to generate your roadmap and weekly reviews.

As you use Startle, we store your tasks, roadmaps, and weekly review notes. This data is yours — we never share or sell it.

What we don't collect

We never see or store your full payment card details — if you subscribe to Premium, card payments are processed securely by Stripe. We do not track you across the web. We do not buy data from third parties.

Who sees your data

  • DeepSeek (Startle model provider) sees the contents of your profile when we generate roadmaps and weekly reviews. They have their own data-handling policy.
  • The accountability partner you nominate receives an email every Sunday with a summary of what you shipped and your commitment line. They never see raw task data.
  • Google Firebase hosts the application and stores data in their EU servers (europe-west2 region).
  • Stripe processes payments if you subscribe to Premium. They handle your card details and billing records under their own privacy policy; we only receive your subscription status and limited billing metadata — never your full card number.
  • Google Analytics 4 (via Firebase Analytics)records anonymised product usage events so we can improve the product.

Your rights

You can delete your account at any time by emailing the author (contact via your accountability partner's reply-to address). We will delete all your stored data within 7 days.
